“We know that for young people to achieve their goals, they need a stable and secure place to live and a support network around them. Because of the Youth Foyer, 40 young people at risk of homelessness on the Gold Coast now have a place to call home while they study or look for a job” said Leeanne Enoch
The $12.3 million Foyer is a key project delivered under the Palaszczuk Government’s Queensland Housing Strategy 2017-2027 and gives young people the opportunity to continue their training, studies or hold down a job without worrying about where they are going to sleep for the night or get their next meal.
The Youth Foyer provides a home for up to 40 young people aged between 16 – 25 yrs. The tenants are young people who are at risk of homelessness, and receive 24-hour on-site support and supervision to help them maintain their studies or a job.
We look forward to hearing the stories from your young residents. We know from so many of our Foyer Alumni that this is a transformative journey they are embarking on.
