WE ARE WORKING TO CREATE A FUTURE WHERE…

Youth Foyers provide young people facing homelessness a stable home, education and employment pathways, and people who believe in them. After two years, 80% leave into secure housing, employment and education, and 87% feel confident they can reach their goals. But with tens of thousands of young Australians locked out of housing and let down by the systems meant to support them, growing Youth Foyers is only part of the answer.

40,000 young Australians face homelessness every year.

1 in 3 are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

30% of young people leave out-of-home care with no where to go next.
Real pathways out of homelessness mean growing what works and changing what doesn’t — at the same time. So this strategy commits the Foyer movement to three connected priorities, where progress on one strengthens them all.

This strategy doesn’t belong to the Foyer Foundation alone – it belongs to the whole Foyer movement. It was shaped with young people with lived experience of homelessness, and built alongside 70+ organisations and partners across the country.
Together, we’re working towards more than 20,000 young people supported to independent, thriving futures across 75+ communities by 2040.
