Thanks to some students at Foyer Oxford (Perth), we have titled our redesigned eNewsletter Foyer Foundation Faff. When CEO Katie Hooper tested the name with GOTAFE Shepparton and Logan Youth Foyer in Queensland, they wondered if it was for ‘Facts and Figures from Foyer Foundation’, ‘Fairy tales and facts from Foyer Foundation’, so many more word plays for the future…
Katie liked the title once she reviewed and slightly altered the urban dictionary definition;
Verb.
1. to waste time doing nothing. 2. to waste time doing stupid things 3. to delay, dilly-dally, especially before leaving the house to be on time somewhere.
Example 1: “I didn’t do anything on Sunday; I just faffed around the Youth Foyer.”
