‘My specialty of plastic and reconstructive surgery was born out of the damaged young lives that returned from the horror of the First World War. Our pioneers made great medical advances in restoring and enhancing bodily form and function to enable those young men to re-engage with their communities. In the same way, the Foyer Foundation is today a rebuilder of young damaged lives. I encourage others to support this worthy and innovative charity.’
