Join us in Sydney from 27 to 29 May to disrupt the cycle of youth homelessness.

Hosted by the Foyer Foundation in Sydney over two and a half days, the Foyer Advantage 2025 will bring together 300 people from across the Youth Foyer movement and beyond to imagine a world where youth homelessness no longer exists.

40,000 young people are facing homelessness every day across the country. It’s never been tougher for a young person in Australia to find safe, stable, and affordable housing.

Youth Foyers are one crucial piece of the solution focussed on more than just housing. Through Advantaged Thinking, which focuses on a young person’s talents and potential with individualised coaching and support, Foyers are unlock thriving, independent futures. We’ve made significant progress so far – with 16 Accredited Youth Foyers across Australia, that will impact the lives of 12,000 young people over the next 10 years.

How do we continue to build on this momentum and disrupt the cycle of youth homelessness?

Designed and delivered in partnership with Youth Foyer residents, National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Housing Association (NATSIHA) and the Brotherhood of St Laurence, the Foyer Advantage 2025 is an opportunity to explore our outcomes to date, the changing policy context, challenge our thinking and reimagine the next 10 years of impact.

Here’s what you can expect👇

🎨 Art, stories & music created and curated by Foyer residents to centre young people’s voices and experiences in all that we do.

🧠 Practice wisdom and evidence from 16 Accredited Youth Foyers across Australia

💡 Disruptive ideas including how we might reimagine the future of home to create communities that solve youth homelessness together, the potential for First Nations-led Foyers, the role of cutting edge tech, and how shifting power towards young people can unlock their potential.

🤝 Radical collaboration drawing on the deep expertise and experience in the room to explore how we break down barriers across sectors, culture and politics to shape systems and structures that better serve all young people.

The whole thing will kick off with DISRUPT on 27 May at Machine Hall.  This one-night festival filled with live music, entertainment and art all curated and created by young people will change the way we think about youth homelessness.
